What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep as it is commonly known, is an immensely powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop . You can simply lay in savasana (corpse pose) whilst the meditation takes you through the ‘pancha maya kosha’ (five layers of self), leaving you with a sense of wholeness. From this, we can begin to unravel your subconscious, blockages and your sense of self to begin a path to healing. Yoga Nidra allows you to view your struggles, anxieties and pain, rather as a disease in your body; but as something separate from who you are, giving you an opportunity to reconnect with yourself and learn to love yourself.

The best part: It has been said that 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra is as restorative and beneficial as 3 hours of deep sleep. So it’s perfect opportunity to take time for that mid day nap or for that pick me up you may need. In our recording, we use techniques which are here to help you release from your thinking mind into the feeling body, and which liberates you into a state of being to allow whatever you need to unfold and let go. This is your opportunity to rewrite your story you tell yourself.


What is Sound Healing

Sound healing for me has been truly life altering: both as a participant in workshops and trainings, but more importantly as a creator of sound and seeing the effect it has on other individuals. 

My approach to sound healing draws upon the immense power of the voice and using my voice holistically along with sound bowls and my harmonium to melt away tension and elevate our spiritual awareness, shifting vibrations in our body to create a more balanced mind and enhanced sense of wellness. 

It is heard by the ears but felt deeply by the whole body. Sound in any form has a very powerful effect on our feelings, emotions and mood; and scientifically proven to aid in reducing stress and creating a profound sense of well-being and calm. It has the power to make you feel physically and mentally balanced, refreshed and rejuvenated as well as heightening the sensations and perceptions in our bodies. 

If you are holding on to pain or trauma, whether that be psychological, emotions or physical; you can use sound healing as a way to aid in healing through these feelings and releasing blocked emotions. Whether it be the smaller things that happen in our everyday life like city stress, self isolation or something more traumatic: a significant emotional loss, childhood trauma or grief: all of this stress sits within our bodies and manifests. Sound healing is your time to provide your mind and body with the balance and rest it deserves.
